American History - The Revolutionary War

Sometimes people forget that in order to get freedom we have to fight for it. A famous hip hop group said it best "We have to fight for our right to party." Do you know who that group was? For one group to get along with another they have to earn Respect/Trust one another. From that you will get to share some responsibilities, then earn some privileges which in turn will create some independence and eventual freedom.
As people, we forget what it means to be free? Are we really free in america or do we think we are? I know I am free and I will die trying to keep my freedom and everyone else in this country. Without it we don't have a future, and with no future, we can't be successful.
Our Forefathers were right, Freedom is our right as human beings. Without it, we are just dogs sibjugated to a master's orders. WE ARE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

Directions:
Students will read "The American Journey Textbook: Chapter 6-The American Revolution, pg 162-187. They are to complete the following:
  1. Copy the America's timeline, pg 160-161.
  2. Identify and Define (10terms) all blue terms, pg 162-187.
  3. Copy worksheets 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4 in notebook.

Supplemental: Students will watch "The Crossing" about George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River. They will watch about 15 minutes a day and just some select scenes.

· Students will create a chart using MS Word. They will list the top 10 best flavors, top
10 worst flavors, world’s top 10 places for ice cream (store name, city and country).
Students will create chart with 5 columns and 11 rows.
· Students will create a chart using MS Word. Students will create 2nd chart with their top
3 flavors, 3 worst flavors and 3 top places for ice cream. Then they will write a 6 sentence
paragraph on why you chose these flavors and locations.
· Students will email assignment to techteacher@rocketmail.com.
· Assignment is due in 1 day.
